Econok is an empowering not-for-profit organization, officially registered as Econok Foundation in Bangkok, Thailand.

The team at Econok are committed to energy conservation behaviors and environmental responsibility. We embrace a practical approach by directing our efforts towards public spaces in Bangkok. We believe that raising awareness of energy savings in this capital city will yield lasting benefits for the entire country.

Takahiko Honda

Having being in Bangkok for over five years and observed people's daily lives, I sense a prevailing "keeping up with the Joneses” mindset instilled in this society. This can lead many to overlook the value and vulnerability of infrastructure and the importance of coexistence with nature. While an increasing number of people take access to electricity for granted, over 80% of the energy supply in Thailand came from fossil fuels in 2021. I recognize that there is no overnight solution to this problem, but I believe in taking small steps forward to start rectifying this situation. At Econok, I aim to help create a better, smarter Bangkok for future generations to enjoy.
